This past Saturday, Seattle’s Waterfront came alive with the kind of energy that only happens when art, culture, and community collide. The overcast skies couldn’t dim the spirit—Pier 62 was lit with smiles, music, and movement as a beautifully diverse

crowd came together to celebrate everything that makes the city vibrant.

The Columbia City Art Show kicked things

off with bold, local artwork reflecting the community’s creativity. Live funk, R&B, and soul pulsed through the waterfront with electric sets from Zane June & Mach X, Adriana Giordana & Game Rodriques, and Funk E Fusion. The Columbia City BeatWalk brought grassroots flavor, while Steppers Unite had the crowd vibing with every smooth move.

The event proudly showcased Seattle’s cultural richness with powerful appearances by the

Buffalo Soldiers, Daughters of Royalty, and The Electronettes. Voices like Sadiqua Man & Benjamin Coleman spoke truth and inspiration, while youth from NW Tap Connection and the soul of ADEFUA brought ancestral rhythm and modern pride.

With recent expansions and revitalized public spaces, the Seattle Waterfront has transformed into a dynamic destination. If you haven’t been, now’s the perfect time to explore it.

Shoutout to the Seattle Office of the Waterfront and Civic Projects, the City of Seattle, and Friends of Waterfront Park for making it all happen. This celebration was a bold, joyful reminder of the power of community—and the soul of the city at its best.
