In Loving Memory Walter Jonas Jimerson, Jr.

Our beloved brother Walter ‘Jonas’ Jimerson, Jr., 64 of Seattle, Washington passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on April 15th, 2020 in Kirkland, WA. Jonas as he was affectionately known as was born in Seattle Washington to Ruby and Walter ‘Buddy’ Jimerson, Sr. He attended Roosevelt High School and graduated class of 1974. From high school he went to work at Bethlehem Steel where he was employed for several years.


He also did a short stint at Metro Transit. He was a kind, gentle and funny person. Jonas loved sports, especially the game of basketball. Lake Washington being one of his favorite spots, he enjoyed being near the water swimming or just relaxing and hanging out. Jonas was predeceased by his mother Ruby Baker, father Walter Jonas Jimerson, Sr., and brother Harold Lowe. Jonas is survived by his sisters and their husbands, Debra and Candies Wheeler of Kent, WA, Kimberly and Richard Kirk of Mountlake Terrace, WA, Selma Ann and Charles Turner of Hillside, IL, Richard Jimerson of Seattle, WA, Sister-in-law Jeanette Lowe of Nanaimo, B.C. and Step Sister Yvette Sampson. Nephews Railen, Rodney, Keith and Kyle Wheeler, Ian, Devan and Sean Kirk, Maurice Jimerson and Jimmy Hardie, Jr., Blaine Lowe and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers: Rodney Wheeler, Keith Wheeler, Kyle Wheeler, Blaine Lowe, Tim Wayne, Brian Cole, Ron Nugent His remains will be cremated and a memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request that you take time to love one another unconditionally. The family would like to thank you for your condolences and prayers at this time of sadness.
