YOU ARE INVITED! Join the Garfield Community to Celebrate a Local Legend: Lorrita Williams

Lorrita Williams is a local legend and beloved basketball coach in the Central District. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1978, after playing all four years on the girls’ varsity basketball team. She went on to play basketball in college in Tennessee.

For many years, Coach Williams has been an important mentor, coach, and inspiration to local basketball players. She is tenacious on and off the court! It is time to honor her.

Join the Garfield High School community in celebrating her contributions to the school, the community, basketball (for both boys and girls).!

Where: Garfield High School Gym

When: Tuesday, January 30, 2024, during half-time of the Garfield versus O’Dea boys’ varsity game. The game starts at 7:30pm.
