Reporters and photographers are invited to a celebration Sunday when the revitalized Skyway Park will reopen to the public after major improvements that include a new playground, refurbished softball field, and upgraded basketball court with on-demand lighting and hockey goals. King County Parks also installed a new pathway with security lighting and improved ADA accessibility.
King County Executive Dow Constantine and County Councilmember Girmay Zahilay will be joined by community members and representatives from the Seattle Kraken for a photo-op at the new mini-turf soccer field. The celebration will include food, games, music, and activities.
