ALERT King County Message – Green River Area Levee Breach and Flooding “GO NOW”

Hello, this is King County Office of Emergency Management on Monday, December 15.
This is for residents and businesses east of the Green River in the Orillia area in Tukwila, Renton and Kent. Due to breach in the Desimone Levee, this area is under a GO NOW evacuation notice. Leave immediately if you are in this area. Conditions are dangerous and access routes may be lost at any time. Go north or south of evacuated area away from flooding waters. Do not drive or walk through standing or moving water. Turn around, don’t drown. Do not drive around barricades or road closures. If you need emergency evacuation assistance, call 911.

Auburn alert message “Get Set”

The City of Auburn Emergency Management issued a Level 2 (Get Set) notice on Sunday, December 14 for residents on the west side of Green River, south of 24th St. NE east of M St. NE and north of 4th St. NE and surrounding neighborhoods. And, residents on the east side of Green River along 104th Ave. SE south of 24th St. NE and north of 4th St. NE.
Due to flooding from storm water and the Green River, the city reissued a Level 2 (Get Set) notice and widening the area of notification. The river has risen to some doors on the east side of the river and is moving close to homes on the west side of the river. “Get Set” means residents should be ready to leave at a moment’s notice. DO NOT WALK OR DRIVE through moving water or on flooded roadways. IF DRIVING, do not drive around a barricade or on closed roads.
