Best Starts for Kids Community Conversations

By: Best Starts for Kids

Best Starts for Kids was born in community. We asked parents, families, caregivers and communities what they wanted for their children. They responded with their hopes and dreams — not just the things they wanted to avoid and prevent but the beautiful things they wanted for their children. These community aspirations shaped Best Starts for Kids into what it is today.  We keep coming back to you to ensure that we are doing what the community has asked of us. Where we are falling short, we want to improve. This fall, we are partnering with organizations across all corners of King County to host a series of community conversations.  The community conversations are virtual and aim to:

  • provide a brief update on the state of Best Starts for Kids

  • learn from Best Starts Champions, partners, and providers on what you think went well during the first 5 years of the levy

  • discuss what needs improvement going forward

You can expect smaller breakouts and larger group sharing. It is important that we stay the course in the next levy and we hope that you will join us in listening, learning, and sharing your wisdom on how we can continue to support a region where our kids are happy, healthy, safe and thriving. Multiple date options We will continue to update this section as we confirm additional community conversations. Let us know if you plan to attend by completing the short forms linked in each community conversation below.
