Community Event Spotlight: Soft Launch of Anderson & Rice Kidney Autoimmune Wellness Foundation — An Evening of Hope, Survival, and Awareness

Seattle, WA — On May 17, 2026, the community is invited to a powerful evening of reflection, storytelling, and awareness as the Anderson & Rice Kidney Autoimmune Wellness Foundation hosts its soft launch event at 3150 Fairview Ave E, Seattle, WA from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

This meaningful gathering centers on lived experience, healing, and education around lupus, kidney disease, and organ transplantation—shared through the journey of the co-founders together: Analisa Mitchell and Angie Rice.

Together, the co-founders share a powerful story of resilience and survival. One co-founder lives with lupus and experienced end-stage renal failure before receiving a life-saving kidney transplant in 2019, while the other developed end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and also received a kidney transplant. Their shared journey reflects restoration, faith, and the life-changing impact of organ donation and medical care.

Their lived experiences serve as the foundation of this mission—transforming personal survival into a collective effort to support, educate, and uplift others impacted by lupus, kidney disease, and autoimmune conditions.

While Lupus Awareness Month is nationally recognized in May, this event extends that awareness into an ongoing commitment to education, healing, and community support beyond a single month.

Guests can expect an evening of storytelling, community connection, and the soft launch of upcoming programs focused on kidney health education, autoimmune support, caregiver resources, and wellness outreach.

“This foundation was born from our shared survival,” the co-founders shared. “We are here because of transplant medicine, community support, and grace. Now we are building something together to give that same hope to others.”
