FOURTH ANNUAL JUNETEENTH MARCH AND RALLY

THE LABOR COMMUNITY CELEBRATES EMANCIPATION DAY ALL DAY LONG

SEATTLE – Monday June 19, 2023 ILWU Local 19, Local 52 and the A. Philip Randolph Institute Seattle present the fourth annual march and rally to honor Juneteenth and continue the fight to end racism and slavery everywhere.

Attendees are invited to gather at 10 a.m. at the ILWU Local 19 Union Hall – 3440 E Marginal Way S (corner of Spokane and East Marginal). Participants will travel along East Marginal Way either by foot or car caravan to Terminal 46. The march will enter Terminal 46 at the main truck entrance located on Alaskan Way S & S. Atlantic St.

Music will be provided by C.T. Thompson & The Classic Soul Band.

The program at Terminal 46 will run from 11:00am - 2:00pm and will include representatives from ILWU locals 19, 52, & 23. There will also be speakers from many community labor organizations including the A. Philip Randolph Institute Seattle, Mothers for Police Accountability, Organized Workers for Labor Solidarity, MLK Labor, Wa Na Wari, WA State Black Clergy, Black Prisoners Caucus and Africa Town.

We ask that all participants wear masks and use hand sanitizer that will be provided.
