Goapele as the headliner for the Upcoming UMOJA Fest

“The Soul of Seafair,” is thrilled to announce the talented singer-songwriter Goapele as the headliner for the upcoming UMOJA Fest [Seattle’s] most anticipated annual cultural celebration. Goapele's captivating presence and soulful music will undoubtedly elevate the festival to new heights, creating a memorable experience for attendees.

Goapele, renowned for her mesmerizing vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, has established herself as a prominent figure in the music industry. With her distinctive blend of R&B, soul, and jazz influences, she has captivated audiences worldwide and earned critical acclaim for her powerful performances. As the headliner for the UMOJA Fest Goapele will bring her dynamic stage presence and repertoire of hits, including "Closer," "Play," and "Strong as Glass," to the main stage, delivering an unforgettable musical experience for festival-goers Sunday evening August 6th.

We’re excited to announce that this year UMOJA Fest will celebrate 25 years of its rich cultural heritage and diversity in the Community. The festival will showcase vibrant performances from local and national artists, host engaging activities, delicious cuisine, and a Vendor Village that brings economic empowerment and revenue to over 200 local small businesses and organizations to come together and foster unity. This year, with Goapele headlining the event, attendees can anticipate an even more extraordinary celebration that showcases the very best of our community.

The UMOJA Fest will take place on August 5-6th at Judkins in Park Seattle’s Central District. In addition to Goapele's electrifying performance, attendees can look forward to a range of activities including live music, cultural displays, activities for children and youth, and a diverse selection of cultural retail and food vendors. The festival provides an inclusive and family-friendly environment, encouraging individuals of all ages and backgrounds to come together and embrace the spirit of Umoja, which means "unity" in Swahili.
