James Edward Jones Jr.
James blessed this earth on June 1, 1941, and earned the peace of eternal life on January 29, 2026.
James was a man of devout wisdom, rooted in a deep and undeniable love for God, his family, and everyone who encountered him. He always had a word to share that made our lives enriched, encouraged, and real. With a boisterous laugh, handsome swag, and distinct voice, everyone was drawn to him and the home he created. He greeted each of us with a huge heart and welcoming soul. For 50 years, James proudly served as President of the renowned gospel group, the Electrifying Mighty Warriors. In appreciation of a life well-lived, the family invites you to join us for a gospel celebration to honor him.
James will be forever loved, honored, and cherished as a man who was electrifying, mighty, and a warrior.

What an Inspiration you were Mr James Jones to so many, I met you down at Sears on 1st & lander, where you worked with my father when I was just a lil girl... and then the next time I remember seeing you was at a musical at the church were Ollie Taylor was a member of the church as a Radio announcer for the Gospel Train & where er body went at the time was the Song Bird Hall on 31st & day to hear Great Singing & Great Gospel Music. I'm heartbroken, yet happy, knowing that your suffering is over. You inspired me for over 50+ years with your words, encouragement and criticism, along with Dad and Joe, helping me learn how to be, not just a lead singer, but a responsible man. I will always thank you for that. We are always, even in passing, ...THE ELECTRIFYING MIGHTY WARRIORS!!! Love you Brother. ❤️
