In Loving and Glorious Memory of Mother Davis

Martha L. Davis, age 93, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her children.

Born on September 5, 1932, in Crawfordville Florida to York Donaldson and Georgian Harvey, Martha proudly served in the United States Navy before moving to Seattle in 1957. She later married Oscar Davis, was a lifelong member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Seattle, and retired from the State of Washington in 1994.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oscar Davis, and her siblings.

She is survived by her children: Leslie Davis, Gary Davis (Koschina), and Dean Kilodavis (Cheryl); grandchildren Dkobe, Dyson, Nadia, Nijahl, and Niyah; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones.

She will be remembered most for her kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to the Lord. May she rest in peace, and may her legacy of love continue to live through all of us.

Following the service, a motorcade will proceed to Washington Memorial Park for burial and military honors.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, Martha’s wishes were that donations be made in her memory to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Seattle.
