Christopher Jewel Holmes was born to Nelson Jewel Holmes Sr. and Maxine Holmes, May 23, 1974 in Seattle, Washington. Growing up, he was full of energy and inquisitive. He could often be found watching PBS programs, listening to classical music, playing football, or serving with the youth at First AME church.

Christopher was a graduate of Franklin High School, where he played JV football. He worked as a laborer doing landscaping, but his passion was cooking. He enjoyed preparing meals for loved ones and creating new recipes.

Christopher was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen, brother Nelson Jr., and father Nelson Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother Maxine Holmes, sister Nancy Braziel (Luther), nephews Joseph Danforth Jr., Tre Danforth, Khari Braziel, nieces Nadja Braziel and Nakia Braziel. Great-nephew Ryden, and great-niece Zorah and a host of family and friends.
