Addie Rose Dunlap of Seattle died

April 6 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was the fourth child born to Frances and Paul Dunlap in Gary, Indiana

She was preceded in death by her

parents and brothers, Lawrence and Emory Dunlap. She is

survived by her sisters, Pauline Deas, Detroit; Lillian Dunlap, St Petersburg; brother Richard Dunlap, Gary; nephews Ernest Deas and Lawrence Dunlap; nieces Alexis (Lindsy) Francois, Leslie (Robert) Drake, and Missy Dunlap, and a host of grand nieces and nephews.

Addie received her bachelor’s degree

and a Master of Public Administration from the

University of Washington and

worked at Harborview Hospital,

until her retirement. Addie was the owner of Photo Rose Photography and a past President of the Washington Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs.

The celebration of her extraordinary life will be at her home church at 11:00AM June 18, 2026, First AME Church, 1522 14th Ave in Seattle.
