In Loving Memory of Joseph Daniel Hursey

Joseph Daniel Hursey, 89, was born on September 30, 1936, in Washington, D.C., to Daniel and Gladys Hursey. 

Joseph met the love of his life, Mary Ann Beeks, in 1957, and they were united in marriage in April of 1958, sharing 68 devoted years together.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring as an E-5 Tech Sergeant. He later retired from Frito-Lay where he was affectionately known as “the chip man,” and also retired from Ramon Hall. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hursey; children Phyllis, Joseph (Sharon), Helen (Arthur), Lisa (Dewayne), and Jason (Kelly); 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nodra, and grandsons Demar and Joseph. Funeral 11am, May 14, 2026, Maranatha Family Worship Center, 4902 E McKinley Ave, Tacoma, WA.
