Leroy Oliver Pines

Leroy Oliver Pines, born September 22, 1944, in Rosharon, Texas, moved to Seattle at age 5. A proud Garfield Bulldog, Leroy had a zest for life, enjoying pool, playing cards, dominoes, and dancing.

His love for music and his joyful spirit were contagious, lighting up every room. Leroy was a man of faith, deeply rooted in his beliefs as a member of Tabernacle MBC and Greater Glory Ministries.

He married the love of his life, Patty Ann Buchanan, on May 17, 2017, after 38 years of partnership.

Leroy passed away on July 4, 2025, at 80 years old. He is survived by his wife Patty, children Anthony Pines Sr., Nicholas Pines Sr., Michael Pines, Nikita Pines, Angela George (John), Wyconza Bernstein, and Aaron Mitchell Sr. (Carol), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of friends. Preceded in death by his parents Amanda and Donald Pines, and his son Bobbishawn Thomas. Leroy’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

As Leroy would say, “Love you, later!”

Memorial services will be held at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church
