In Loving Memory of Linda Ruth Calloway

Linda Ruth Calloway “From the rising of the sun to its setting.” September 9, 1948 – September 8, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the homegoing of Linda Ruth Calloway, born
September 9, 1948, in Seattle, Washington, to the late Earl Ashford Sr. and Eleanor Ashford.
Linda received her education through the Seattle Public Schools and graduated from Franklin High School. She went on to build a distinguished career of more than 30 years with The Boeing Company, retiring after decades of dedicated service.
In December 1991, Linda married the late Pastor Willie Calloway and became the First Lady of Bethany Temple Pentecostal Church in Seattle. A devoted woman of faith, Linda lived her life as a reflection of God’s love, demonstrating kindness, patience, faithfulness, joy, goodness, generosity, and compassion to all who knew her.
Linda’s memory and legacy will continue to live on through those she leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Wilbur Reed III; grandson, Derrick Calloway; granddaughter, Emma Forman; her sister Margaret Ashford Graves; brothers, Earl Ashford Jr (Shelly), John Rogers Jr (LaTonya), and Jeff Rogers (Erma Jean). She also leaves behind extended family, friends, her church family, and all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Earl and Eleanor Ashford; her beloved sisters, Julia Rivers and Sandra Carpenter; and her devoted husband, Pastor Willie Calloway.
Though Linda’s earthly journey has come to an end on this side, the love she shared, the faith she demonstrated, and the kindness she extended to others will remain forever in they hearts of all who knew and loved her.
