In Loving Memory of Loretta Jones


Loretta Jones was born on October 15, 1964, in Seattle, Washington, to Etta Rene Jones and Johnnie Jewel Jones. She was the youngest of eight children and is survived by: Addie Marie Jones, Patricia Jones McFadden, Harold Jones, Gary Jones, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.   She was preceded in death by her parents

.Loretta graduated from Garfield High School in 1982, where she played the flute in the marching band.  She also played the piano and built lifelong connections through family, music, and community.

Music was her passion; she discovered later that she used to imitate singers throughout her life, only to find out that she was a jewel in the rough, where she sang and developed her love for performing. Loretta worked for many years as a loan processor for Seafirst Bank.  Seafirst was bought out by several banks, with Wells Fargo Being the final one.  They closed all of their Seattle locations, giving her the opportunity to relocate to either Texas or Arizona.  The offer wasn’t advantageous for her, so she decided to stay in Seattle.  Her passion for music continued well into adulthood. Loretta was part of a local band and started a local group where she made a few videos and posted them on YouTube. Later, she began to compete in several competitions She was Seattle Stars 2005 Champion, where she won a cruise for two.  She was an icon in the West Seattle community, where she hosted karaoke at Yen Wor Village for over 20 years.  She also hosted karaoke at several other bars and private events. She was well known throughout West Seattle area. She was a beloved and pivotal figure in the local karaoke community. Her ability to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome was truly unique, and she was deeply loved by the locals.. Loretta Jones will be remembered for her love of music, her vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her legacy lives on.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm Friday, January 9, 2026 at Serenity’s Personal Alternative Chapel 749 Central Ave. N Kent, WA 98032 and continue from 9:30am until time of funeral service at 10:30am Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Greater Glory Ministries 6419 Martin Luther King Jr Way S Seattle, WA 98118. Burial will follow at Abbey View Memorial Park in Brier.
