Mary Alice Beene Huggins, born February 18, 1942, in Belton, Texas, the eldest child of the late Milton M. Beene and Richard Alice Evans, passed away on January 15, 2026, in Seattle, Washington.
Mary dedicated her professional life to public service, including 30 years with Seattle City Light, from which she retired.
Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband Herman H. Huggins Jr., daughter, Jyvette Dobson; grandson Joseph Dobson, sisters: Nettie L. Beene, and Selnelda E. Cox, Renton, WA;
Bonus daughters: Laura Huggins, Monica Huggins, Nina Huggins-Irving (Leonard Irving), Kent, WA:
Her aunts: Louise Johnson, Tacoma, WA, Edith Allen, Miami, FL; a host of bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
