Mary Opal Melrose
June 2, 1940 - December 13, 2024
Our mother Mary Opal Melrose entered eternal rest December 13, 2024. She was born June 2, 1940 to the late Opal and Birdie Wilson in Morrilton, Arkansas. In 1956 Mary moved to Seattle, Washington, embracing her love for travel and new experiences. She later lived in Los Angeles, California and Anchorage, Alaska forming cherished lifelong friendships in each city.
Mary was a faithful member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, Mt Zion Baptist Church in Seattle, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Anchorage and New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Kent, Washington.
Services will be held at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship on January 16, 2025 at 11:30am.
