It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our Beloved Brother David J. Barnes Sr. David was born in Seattle, WA to the parents of Gilbert Barnes Jr & Vergerine Barnes (both deceased). David grew up in the Central Area of Seattle and graduated from Garfield High School in 1977. David’s legacy continues to live on through his Son, David Barnes II (4 Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren); daughter, Cesara Charles; grandson Jakari Darrell Washington; Sister Brenda (Ralph deceased) Carringtion; Sister Dr. Patricia Barnes (Lawrence) Sam; Brother Minister Steven (Judy) Barnes; Nephews Myran Barnes, Stephan Donaldson; Niece Komita (Dr. Girvin) Liggans; and host of family and lifelong friends.
Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, September 26, 2026 @11:00am.
