In Loving Memory of Rev. Wilbert E. Square, Sr.

Rev. Wilbert E. Square, Sr passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work: a long stent in the United States, Marine Corps, postal mechanic, FAA computer analyst, and served as Senior Pastor of Bailey AME Church located in Everett, Washington for 18 years.

A fathering of unwavering love, he taught his children the value of strong work ethics and honesty, always fixing things—from cars to broken hearts. He considered being a father and husband were his greatest accomplishments. Seeing his kids as his superheroes.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Celia of 63 years. children: Gina Square Hall (Larry Hall), Wilbert Square Musa (Tigist Tamene), and Ahkeenu Square Musa. Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his booming laugh, for being in service to others, and collecting historical information on African American and various other cultures and sharing his love and knowledge of history with others.

The World knows now of a true Warrior, a Caretaker, an all around family man and never least but the advocate of the Word of God. My uncle whom I share the same middle name. I will forever keep his memory in my heart. Love you Uncle Eugene, take your rest!
