“Green Eyes”
March 22, 1967 – June 28, 2026
Sheila was born in Seattle to Carla Olson and Charles Jones. The eldest of four daughters, she took pride in her role as Big Sister. She grew up in the Central District and attended Garfield High School- affectionately renamed "Green Eyes."
Sheila overcame many obstacles and hardships, but met every challenge with strength and resilience. She lived her life to the fullest. She married Juan Carlos (Loco) Barcelo-Rivero in 1995 and their son lives in Florida. In recent years, Sheila grew closer to her family. She gave joy freely and had many, many friends.
Sheila is survived by her mother, Carla Olson; her sisters, Regina and Carla Annette; her children, Muhammad Ujaama, Jade Jones, Roslyn (Nunu) Jones and Camille Jones; and seven grandchildren.
Preceding her in death: her grandmother, Bonny Kelly (Bunka); her sister, Kelly Olson; and her son, Tony Jones. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A Celebration of Life will take place, Aug. 17th from 1 to 4:30 pm, Lakewood Seward Park Community Club, 4916 S. Angeline Street, Seattle, WA 98118
