In Loving Memory of Yvonne Theresa Howard Hanzy

Yvonne Theresa Howard Hanzy, 88, of Everett, Washington, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at Providence Regional Medical Center.

Born on August 28, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Linzy Joseph Howard Sr. and Julia Royal Howard, Yvonne graduated from Sumpter Williams High School in Morgan City and later earned her cosmetology license from LaBelle's Beauty College in Lafayette. 

In 1955, she married John Hanzy, and together they raised two daughters, Joanice Meria Hanzy Bletson and Juliet Yvonne Hanzy Malmstead.

Yvonne was a devoted Christian whose greatest joys were her faith & family. She was especially known for her legendary Nubian Jam sweet potato pies.

She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, and many beloved relatives.

Memorial Service will be held on August 1, 2026. 11:00AM-1:00PM. at Jubilee COGIC, 2532 Virginia Ave., Everett, 98201.
