Let Me Tell You About My Pastor

Let me tell you about my pastor, Rev. Dr. Robert L. Jeffrey, Sr. of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Some pastors preach from the pulpit. Pastor Jeffrey has spent his life preaching, teaching, building, and serving. Long before arriving in Seattle in 1986, he was already making a difference through civil rights advocacy, poverty reduction programs, community development, and education. His life’s work has been centered on helping people who have been locked out of opportunities find a pathway forward.

What I admire most about Pastor Jeffrey is his vision. He has always believed that faith should be accompanied by action. Under his leadership, New Hope has provided housing for women and children, feeding programs, youth outreach, economic empowerment initiatives, and community development projects that continue to impact lives today.

From founding Black Dollar Days to creating opportunities for youth and families, Pastor Jeffrey has never stopped working to strengthen our community. His leadership has helped make New Hope Missionary Baptist Church more than a church. It has become a beacon of hope, service, and empowerment throughout Seattle.

His vision, commitment, and love for God’s people continue to inspire generations.
