Every year, we do what we can to tell our civic leaders that Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream is alive and well. Join us for this outdoor, masked, and social-distanced event #mlkseattle
*The exact march route will be shared publicly the morning of due to concerns for safety and security.
*MLK Day Transportation - after the downtown rally, buses and shuttles will be available to bring community members back up to Garfield. Please follow directions from the event marshals/leads for pickup locations and boarding.

Safety, Security, and Comfort Tips
As we gather to honor Dr. King and march together in community, please keep these tips in mind to help ensure a safe and comfortable day for everyone:
Safety & Security
Stay aware of your surroundings and look out for one another.
Attend with a buddy when possible and set a meeting point in case you get separated.
Follow directions from event marshals, volunteers, and organizers.
Bring only essential items and keep personal belongings secure.
If you feel unsafe or notice something concerning, notify an event volunteer right away.
This is a peaceful event—help maintain a calm, respectful environment.
If you are feeling sick or unwell, please stay home and take care of yourself.
While medic volunteers will be present, consider bringing a small personal first aid kit if you have one.
What to Wear for Comfort
Wear comfortable, well-broken-in walking shoes.
Dress in layers to adjust to changing weather.
Check the forecast and bring weather-appropriate items if needed.
Bring water and light snacks to stay hydrated and energized.
Wear clothing that allows you to move freely throughout the march.
