Musiq Soulchild to Headline Umoja Fest 2026

Seattle, WA — Umoja Fest, the Northwest's premier celebration of Black culture, community, and heritage, proudly features Musiq Soulchild as the headliner for Umoja Fest 2026, taking place August 1–2 at Judkins Park in Seattle's historic Central District.

A Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and pioneer of the neo-soul movement, Musiq Soulchild has spent more than two decades creating timeless hits including "Love," "Just Friends (Sunny)," "Halfcrazy," "Teachme," and "So Beautiful." Renowned for his soulful vocals and unforgettable live performances, he will headline the festival on Sunday, August 2, at 6:00 PM.

Known as "The Soul of Seafair," Umoja Fest celebrates Black culture through music, art, food, fashion, and community.

Festivities begin with the Umoja Fest Parade on Saturday, August 1, at 1:00 PM, traveling from 23rd Avenue & Cherry Street to Jackson Street, followed by two days of live entertainment, the Soul of the City Stage, 100+ food, retail, and community vendors, and the Children's Village..

Umoja Fest 2026 is made possible through the support of the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, 4Culture, Amazon, Mariners Foundation, Byrd Barr Place, Seattle Public Utilities, Port of Seattle, UW Medicine, Africatown Community Land Trust, King County Equity Now, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and Seafair.
