Neighborcare Health Hosts Free Event to Help Community Navigate Medicaid Changes

Neighborcare Health invites patients and community members to attend a free dinner and Community Connect event on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at its Rainier Beach clinic, focused on helping community members understand upcoming Medicaid/Apple Health changes, learn what to do to keep their insurance, ask questions, and get one-one support. It's also an opportunity for people with Medicaid/Apple Health to better understand their insurance benefits.

Beginning in 2027, most adults with Medicaid/Apple Health ages 19–64 must meet new work or community engagement requirements to stay eligible, unless they meet the exemptions. In addition, Apple Health for Adults will require renewal every 6 months instead of every 12 months.

Adults with Medicaid/Apple Health will not automatically lose their health insurance in 2027. However, they will have more paperwork and need to take additional steps to keep coverage. Neighborcare Health is committed to ensuring its patients and community can continue to access healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay.

WHAT: Patients, families, caregivers, and community members learn more about Medicaid (Apple Health) insurance coverage & upcoming changes to Medicaid and get support. The event is free to attend, and dinner is provided at no cost.

WHEN: Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. (prompt start time)

WHERE: Neighborcare Health Rainier Beach clinic, 9245 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118

  • Free parking available on-site.

  • A video live stream option will be available on Neighborcare Health’s Community Connect webpage on the day of the event at neighborcare.org/community-connect
