SEATTLE, RAINIER BEACH, Wash. – The 2026 Rainier Beach Walk the Block Party is set to bring the Rainier Beach community together once again on Saturday, May 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Rainier Beach Community Center. This annual celebration showcases the vibrant culture, creativity, and community unity through live entertainment, local vendors, interactive art, insightful speakers, and family-friendly activities. Hosted by Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC), this free, public event is more than just a celebration. This Small Business Month event is a catalyst for development, supporting small businesses during these economically challenging times in an effort to prevent displacement. It will also feature resources from key organizations assisting business owners with access to funding, insightful technical assistance and strategies to access commercial spaces for growth and expansion. All proceeds directly support funding for the Rainier Beach Business District at RBAC to provide free guidance to small businesses, which provides vital resources, mentorship, and funding to local entrepreneurs, with a special focus on at-risk and minority-owned businesses across Washington state. Judy Jones, MBA, RBAC Economic Development Strategist said, “This event is a direct investment in the heart of our neighborhood and small business owners. The Walk the Block Party will give our local entrepreneurs the visibility, support, and celebration they deserve.” Jones continued, “We invite the public and corporate partners to discover the community assets of living, working and doing business in Rainier Beach. Participants will have the opportunity to explore new developments, understand needs, and proposed improvements for business, arts & culture. We hope you will join us in the mission to strengthen businesses during National Small Business Month, and encourage you to patronize small businesses during the Month of May.” We are excited to announce this year’s event highlights: a Marketplace Plaza serving as a hub for small businesses and organizations to showcase their work, mainstage performances, and a Kids Zone offering fun and engaging activities for kids and families. Corporate sponsors and local vendors are invited to participate and gain high-visibility engagement within the neighborhood. Sponsors receive promotional benefits, including brand placement, social media recognition, and opportunities to connect with thousands of attendees. The deadline for sponsorship commitments is Monday, May 25 to ensure logo placement in all Walk the Block Party promotional materials. For sponsorship, vendor opportunities, or general inquiries, visit our website or email Jones at ed@rbactioncoalition.org. We look forward to walking the block with you on Saturday, May 30. ### About the Rainier Beach Business District: The Rainier Beach Business District is dedicated to fostering a thriving, inclusive, and vibrant district that supports local businesses, strengthens the community, and enhances the economic and cultural vitality of Rainier Beach.
