RBAC to Honor Neighborhood Heroes on November 7, 2025

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, September 18, 2025 – Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) will host its Neighborhood Heroes Gala: Honoring the Heart of Rainier Beach, on Friday, November 7, at 6 p.m. The event will take place at the Labor Temple in Downtown Seattle.

This gala celebrates the remarkable individuals and organizations that contribute to the resilience and vibrancy of the Rainier Beach neighborhood. During the event, we will present the inaugural Neighborhood Hero Awards to some incredible changemakers who have made significant contributions to the Rainier Beach community.

Guests can expect an inspiring gathering where residents, partners, and supporters come together to celebrate our neighborhood heroes, learn more about how to support the work in the community, and engage in visioning for the future of Rainier Beach.

“The Rainier Beach neighborhood is filled with people who are doing extraordinary work every single day,” said Jarquita Brown, RBAC’s Development Manager. “This gala is an opportunity to honor their contributions while raising critical funds to keep our programs thriving.”

The evening will feature an inspiring keynote address, live entertainment, and opportunities to support RBAC through both live and silent auctions. Attendees will also receive an exclusive look at RBAC’s upcoming initiatives across its four core branches, all designed to uplift and strengthen the Rainier Beach neighborhood.

RBAC has set a goal to raise $150,000 to sustain its programs, which address the holistic needs of the neighborhood through various strategically identified initiatives.
