Mrs. Lillie V. Mitchell

Mrs. Lillie V. Mitchell graced this life with her presence on January 31, 1943 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late James Wells and Ruth Baker. She departed this life on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Phenix City, Alabama for her eternal reward.
Lillie was educated in the Seattle, Washington schools and was a graduate of Garfield High School. She was employed with AAFES for several years. &he accepted Christ and was a member of The Way, Truth and Life Outreach Ministries.
Lillie was known for her loving and caring spirit. She treasured entertaining family and loved ones, and especially enjoyed cooking for them. She would bake sweet potato pies for each person and send cookies (peanut butter and oatmeal) to wherever someone lived.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Eddie Wells; two sisters, Gloria Jean and Johnnie; and her husband Aaron Mitchell, Sr.
Lillie leaves to cherish her loving and gracious memory four precious children: Sandra Mitchell, Aronettea Johnson, Aaron Mitchell, Jr. and Nicole Robinson; eight grandchildren, Latasha, Keshia, Shemekeas, Suzanne, Tyeshia, CJ, Tre'von, and Allen; ten great grandchildren; her siblings, Josephine Edmonds, Rutha Lee Wells, Curtis Wells, Brenda, Gloria Johnson, Gary Johnson, and Dorothy Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Lord be merciful. Mrs. Mitchell was a wonderful memory from my childhood in Germany. A beautiful soul. She meant a lot to my mother Irma Houston
