Seattle, WA-Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) encourages everyone from the Lake City community to participate in the development of the future Lake City Community Center. Please take this short survey and visit us at our booth on Thursday, August 14 & 28 during the Lake City Farmers Market at Albert Davis Park, 12526 27th Ave NE from 3 to 7 p.m.
This survey is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the project and provide feedback on the community center design options. The survey is available in multiple languages (Amharic, Oromo, Russian, Somali, Spanish Tigrinya, Traditional Chinese, Ukrainian, Vietnamese) on the website and will close at the end of day, Monday, September 1, 2025. Thank you to everyone who has participated to date.
Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Seattle Office of Housing (OH) are excited to have Mercy Housing as the lead redeveloper for the Lake City Community Center. The Lake City Community Center redevelopment presents a unique opportunity to co-locate a new community center with 113 affordable rental homes all in one convenient location near the Lake City Branch Library and Albert Davis Park. This is the first development partnership between OH and SPR, enabling the City to pool resources to create much-needed affordable housing on top of a new community center. SPR will continue to own and operate the Lake City Community Center, 12531 28th Avenue NE., once it is redeveloped. The Center will continue to be an integral part of the Lake City neighborhood, serving as a hub for community activities and bringing people of all ages, abilities, and cultures together.
