What if I told you that beginning each day with an expectation can impact the trajectory of your day. It’s easy to forget that we are not passengers of circumstance — we are pilots of perception. Each morning when you open your eyes, you are given a quiet, profound power: the ability to choose what you think, what you believe, and what you expect.

Most people wake up and let their minds drift — pulled by yesterday’s worries, tomorrow’s unknowns, or the noise of the world outside. But what if, instead, you took the wheel? What if you decided, before anything else, that today will be a day of purpose? Of gratitude? Of strength?

Expectation is a force. It is a lens through which you will see every conversation, every challenge, every unexpected twist. When you expect good things — growth, opportunity, even miracles — you don't just hope for them. You create space for them. You walk through your day with a different energy, and that energy calls things toward you.

The truth is simple but powerful: you have the willpower to choose what you plant in your mind each morning. Will it be fear, or will it be hope? Will it be self-doubt, or will it be courage?

Words of Wisdom of Char of The Week: Choose wisely. Your day — and your life — are listening. As the sun rises, I’m reminded that I am a daughter, wholly dependent on the help of the Father for both my inward peace and outward fulfillment. Each morning offers me a choice: to think according to my circumstances, or to think according to His promises. Because if you don’t choose, the world around us will choose for you.
