Come and be inspired by a time of praising our Lord and Savior. Hear about prayer in a creative way through word, song, and dance featuring Bishop Gwendolyn Phillips Coates, Minister Bria Manaway and Sister Eu-wanda Jenkins Eagans.

On March 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM, Dr. Cheryl Ivey Green, Executive Minister First Baptist Church of South Richmond is the anointed worship service speaker. Dr. Green holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Union’s Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

She is on various boards and non-profit organizations, including the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Board, and was chair during her tenure. She is past President of the Baptist Minister’s Conference of Richmond & Vicinity and was appointed to the African American Advisory Board of Virginia, where she served as Inaugural Vice-Chair, three terms as Chair, and was recently reappointed to another term. She was in Executive Leadership in the Virginia House of Delegates and Virginia Legislative Black Caucus Foundation. She is a founding member and current Chaplain of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Richmond Chapter.

She blends her ministry with her work in impoverished communities. Her blended work in the church and the community is guided by the words of Jesus, found in Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.”
