ATTEND A BUSINESS STRATEGY WORKSHOP HOSTED BY THE LIBRARY IN MAY

Want to learn how to build a business website and monetize it, or find out more about starting and expanding a food business? The Seattle Public Library is offering all these workshops in May through its Library to Business program. .

Whether you have a long-established business or are just beginning to plan a new business, The Seattle Public Library has great resources for you to use for free through the Library to Business program. We offer dozens of classes and workshops every year in partnership with local organizations, as well as free one-on-one consultations on all aspects of starting and running a business.

Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is required for each workshop, sign up via the Library's calendar.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

· Food Business Orientation - 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 11. Got something cooking? Come learn about the requirements and regulations for opening or expanding a food business!

· Quickly Build Your First Business Website - 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18. First time getting your business online? Get started and be ready for easy updates and expansion. Leave with a site plan, page outlines, lots of resources, recommendations and suggestions.

· Elements of Strategic Marketing - 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 25. When you're running a business, you just don't have time to try every marketing tactic possible. Smart business owners make strategic choices that match their goals, skills and resources.

· Beyond Google: Free Market Research at Your Library - 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 27. Find out how to easily navigate databases available through your Library to help you make informed decisions in your business planning, marketing, site location and market analysis.

The Library gives everyone the opportunity to learn and excel. Entrepreneurs can get business support online, attend online workshops and schedule one-on-one virtual appointments.
