Life’s Reflections….
Debra Elizabeth (Clinton) Porter was born October 16, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of late Billie Clinton Sr. and Rubie (Morton) Clinton. Debbie, as she was affectionately known, went to be with the Lord and entered her rest on June 13, 2022 in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Debbie accepted Christ at an early age at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church (Kansas City, MO) under the leadership of Rev. Rueben Fields.
In 1974, Debbie was united in marriage to Arnold E. Porter Sr., (who proceeds her in death). The couple relocated to Seattle, Washington in 1975. To this union a beautiful daughter was born. Debbie leaves behind her beloved daughter, Arnetta Lawrence.
Besides being a nurturing mother and grandmother, she enjoyed crafts, extensive traveling throughout the U.S., and sailing many cruises abroad. Debbie will forever live in our hearts and be truly missed.
Debbie was welcomed into heaven’s gates by her parents, her maternal and paternal grandparents, three brothers – Michael Jones, Douglas Clinton, and David Tuggle, a niece – Suzanne Harris, one nephew – Rueben Clinton, and two great nephews.
She is survived by her daughter, Arnetta Porter Lawrence, son-in-law Kenneth Lawrence, three granddaughters – Kendal, Kelsey, and Khloe Lawrence of Woodbridge, Virginia; special companion of 30 years – Willie Winston Jr. of Kent, Washington; godson Reginald “Jamal” Johnson of Kansas City, MO; goddaughter Cierra Walkingchild of Kent, Washington: sibling’s – Jonita (Robert) Stevenson of Kansas City, MO; Shirley (Floyd) Marshall of Graham, Washington; Billie (Tanya) Clinton Jr.; Patricia Smith; Tyrone Clinton; Annette (Reginald) Johnson, Denise Clinton, Barbara Clinton, and Veronica Tuggle-Hall, all of Kansas City, MO, a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Debbie was laid to rest on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Cards and condolence can be sent to Arnetta Porter Lawrence at ….
