Theophania Cielos was tragically taken from us too soon. She was born in LA on March 17th 1968 to Dorayne Mills and Mel Taylor. She always said she was blessed to have 3 wonderful dads, Roy Mills, David Lee, and Mel Taylor. Theo grew up in the 70s surrounded by siblings and cousins. Theo was a dynamic human being. Her talents were wide ranging and knew no bounds. She was a quick-witted, talented artist, natural leader, gifted athlete, amazing cook, with a brilliant mind and an endless appetite for learning. Not to mention, a wonderful friend to so many people from all walks of life and the best mom her five children could have ever imagined asking for. Theo was a gravitational force of life, if she wanted you to like her you had no choice but to be drawn to her. Theo went back to school at the age of 44. She went on to earn her B.A. from Smith College and her Masters Degree from UMASS. While in college Theo lettered in Crew, matching strengths with student athletes half her age. Theo was preceded in death by her grandmother Doris Bernathy, her father, Mel Taylor, stepfathers Roy Mills & David Lee, and her brother Che Taylor. She is survived by her birth mother Dorayne Mills and adoptive mother Vanessa Taylor. She leaves behind her children; Adrianna Taylor, Nichele Cielos, Jonathan Gore, Angel Cielos, and Simone Cielos; her siblings Jeanette Singleton, Andre Taylor, Christopher Mills, Amber Lee, and Brye’ona Lee; and her grandchildren Dominic Daugherty and Alexander Marr; along with a host of loved ones and friends.
