SEHAWKS TAKE ANOTHER L


The Seattle Seahawks football team is in a bit of a tailspin. Yup the team is chasing its tail and is downright dizzy. The Seahawks 23 to 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams was crippling. The loss to the Rams knocked the Seahawks from atop of the NFC West to a three a way tie for the Division lead. What’s going on you say? What happened to the team that started out the season five and 0 and has lost three of the last four games? Injuries, injuries, and more injuries.

The Hawks have been banged up on defense and the impact has been catastrophic. . The loss of starting cornerbacks Shaquill Griffin and Quinton Dunbar has resulted in the Seahawks having the worst pass defense in the league. All-Pro Bowl strong Safety Jamal Adams is back after missing the last four games due to a hamstring issue. Rookie Linebacker Jordyn Brooks is also back after missing games due to injury. While some players are returning on defense the news is dismal on the other side of the ball.


Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has caused seven turnovers in the last two games. Four interceptions and three turnovers. What gives you say? Though Wilson was the front runner for League MVP ? Well, he was until running backs Chris Carson and his back up Carlos Hyde were sideline with you guessed it injuries. The absence of Carson and Hyde left the Seahawks with no running game. In case you forgot the Seahawks are a run first team the pass team. See you can’t have a play action offense without the play. Teams know the Seahawks do not have a running game, so they stack the box and go after Wilson. In the last two games Wilson has been sacked 11 times. And last game the Seahawks played without starting Ethan Pocic . Fill in Kyle Fuller played admirable until he suffered an ankle injury. Before you begin the whole sky is falling routine be reminded that the Seahawks is against the Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks are tied with the Cardinals for first place and a win on Thursday Night would give the Seahawks their groove back. A loss well let’s not speak that into existence. More good news. According to head coach Pete Carroll Carlos Hyde has a chance to play on Thursday and Kyler Fuller’s ankle is okay.
